Some sessions just flow, and my time with Gaby was one of those. She’s a talented tattoo artist, full of creative energy, and such a down-to-earth, kindhearted person. From the moment she stepped into the studio, she radiated excitement and passion for her work. Her personality made the entire branding session fun, inspiring, and so easy to capture.

What I love about Gaby is that she’s not only a creative soul, she’s also incredibly passionate about running a strong business. She makes it clear that her clients are her top priority — ensuring they feel seen, respected, and cared for. That combination of artistry and professionalism is what makes her stand out. She pours her energy into her craft while never losing sight of the people she serves, treating them with the utmost respect.
Discovering Our Shared Roots
One of the best surprises of this session came afterward. As we were chatting, I realized we had a mutual friend, which led to me asking more about her background. That’s when I learned we share the same roots — both of our parents are from Suriname and also lived in the Netherlands. I had no idea until then! It felt like such a “small world” moment and instantly gave us even more to connect over.
Florida has so many Surinamese people, and every time I meet someone from that community, I feel like I’m finding another piece of home. Meeting Gaby gave me that same sense of comfort and connection — she feels like family already.
Looking Ahead
I’m so glad we crossed paths and had the chance to work together. I can’t wait to see more of her creative tattoo work and collaborate again in the future. Sessions like this remind me that branding photography is about more than just creating images — it’s about celebrating the story, passion, and energy that make someone’s work unique.
