Born for the Camera: Baby C’s 6-Month Milestone Session

Some babies take a little time to warm up in front of the camera. Baby C? He needed exactly two minutes—and then he was ready to model like a pro. 🥹

I’ve had the joy of photographing his parents for several years now, so when they told me they were expecting, I was so thrilled for them. While we weren’t able to capture maternity photos, we made up for it during this heartfelt milestone session to celebrate Baby C’s 1/2 birthday.

Meeting Baby C

From the second he arrived at the studio, Baby C brought such a calm, joyful energy. Once he got used to the space, he settled in beautifully and gave us the most expressive, happy moments. He breezed through every background setup we had, flashing those sweet baby smiles and curious glances.

This age—right around six months—is one of my favorites to photograph. Babies are sitting up, full of personality, and just starting to show their unique spark. C made every moment feel like a little celebration of this new stage in his life.

Watching Mom and Dad Step into Parenthood

Knowing this couple for years has made witnessing their transition into parenthood feel especially meaningful. Mom is a natural—so calm, loving, and present. It was beautiful watching her with her son, radiating that quiet strength and softness that new motherhood brings. Dad brought his signature laid-back energy, keeping the session light and relaxed.

Their connection was warm, strong, and easygoing—everything that makes a session feel like a real reflection of a family.
