A Bond Beyond Photography
I first met this lovely family a few years ago during a photo session in Hyde Park. They approached me while I was working with another family and asked for my business card. We connected right away, and soon after, I was documenting their pregnancy and the arrival of their first child. Now, I’ve had the joy of capturing their growing family again, this time welcoming their second baby. This family is truly special. They are kind, down-to-earth, and love having deep conversations about business, which I enjoy. Seeing the big sister grow up and capturing these moments in their home again was an absolute delight.

Timing is important for newborn photography. I recommend photographing newborns between 1-4 weeks after birth, as long as the baby is healthy. This time is perfect because babies are still very sleepy and can be easily posed, yet their features are more defined. In-home newborn sessions are my favorite because they include all the intimate details of the family’s life. The nursery, the living room, and even the family pets become part of the story. Morning sessions are the best because of the natural light, creating soft, beautiful images that highlight the tenderness and love of these early moments.
Scheduling Your Newborn Session
Planning ahead is key when scheduling a newborn photo session. I encourage expectant parents to book their sessions months in advance to ensure availability. However, I know that babies can be unpredictable, so I’m always flexible if your little one arrives earlier or later than expected. This flexibility ensures that we can still capture those precious first moments. My priority is to make the experience as stress-free and enjoyable as possible for the family, so they can fully relax and enjoy the session.
