Watching This Family Grow
Some families become so much more than clients — they start to feel like friends you’ve known for years. The B. Family is one of those for me. I first photographed them when they were a family of three, and since then, I’ve had the honor of capturing both of their pregnancies and now their newest little addition.
Getting to see families evolve through the years is one of my favorite parts of photography. It’s not just about the photos — it’s about being invited back into their story again and again, documenting how their love expands each time.

Meeting Their Newest Addition
This session was extra special because it took place in their home — the place where so many of their first memories with their newborn will unfold. Their baby girl was calm, cozy, and so loved. She fit right in from the moment I arrived.
I was also able to spend time with their older children, who I’ve known since they were little. It’s amazing how quickly time passes. They each have such unique personalities — curious, funny, and full of energy — and it’s always a joy to see how they interact with their new sibling.

A Grandmother’s Love
Another moment that made this session even more meaningful was meeting the baby’s grandmother, who traveled from out of state to support her daughter during this new chapter. Her quiet pride and gentle love filled the room. You could tell how deeply she cared, not just for her grandbaby, but for her daughter as she navigated these early newborn days.
I love being able to witness those generational bonds — they add so much heart to a session.

Capturing Comfort and Connection
In-home sessions have a special kind of intimacy to them. There’s a comfort that allows everyone to relax — no rushing, no posing that feels unnatural. Just soft light, real emotion, and a family soaking in their new rhythm together.
The B. Family is naturally easygoing and kind, and that energy made the session flow effortlessly. The older kids loved helping out and showing off their new sibling, and the parents shared so many quiet smiles in between moments.

Grateful for the Journey
I left their home that day feeling so grateful — not just for the beautiful photos, but for the years of trust and connection we’ve built. Watching this family grow has been such a privilege, and it means so much to be part of their milestones.
I’m already looking forward to seeing them again soon for their upcoming family photo session. It’s always a joy to continue capturing their story, one season at a time.
