Kimberley There’s something incredibly special about meeting a family for the first time and instantly feeling like you’ve known them forever. That was the case with the beautiful M. family. This session was a blend of playfulness, tenderness, and genuine connection—and it was such an honor to be the one capturing it.
From the very beginning, I could feel the warmth and ease they brought into the space. Their energy was calm, loving, and deeply connected, which made for such a meaningful and memorable session.
A Sweet New Chapter
When mom reached out, she had just given birth to their newest family member—a sweet baby boy. She wanted to document this new chapter as a family of four, and I couldn’t have been more excited to help capture these early moments.
Their newborn was such a dream—calm, curious, and so incredibly focused on the camera. I’m not kidding when I say he locked eyes with the lens more than once, like a tiny professional already! His presence brought such a peaceful rhythm to the session, and you could feel how much love already surrounds him.
A Space to Explore and Connect
We picked a location that offered privacy and space to move around, and it turned out to be the perfect spot. We had the whole area to ourselves, which meant their daughter could run, dance, swing, and explore to her heart’s content. She had so much personality and joy—and was completely unafraid to be herself in front of the camera, which I absolutely loved.
The contrast between her playful energy and her baby brother’s quiet focus was beautiful to witness. These two are going to make such an amazing sibling duo.
What Made It Memorable
It wasn’t just the setting or the sunshine that made this session special—it was the family themselves. Kind, open, and so easy-going, the M. family brought such a peaceful, joyful energy to the shoot. Their love for each other was effortless, and their connection as a new family of four was heartwarming to watch.
Mom and dad were present, loving, and fully in the moment with their kids—which is what I always hope to capture: realconnection, not posed perfection.
